SeaGlass, a ride to the bottom of the ocean

In addition to designing the kiosks, benches, and a fountain for Battery Park, WXY designed and developed a carousel for the park. The new park addition is based on a sea life theme that links the project with the original New York Aquarium.

The innovative structure features state-of-the-art technology including "smart" glass, which switches from transparent to a dark blue tint.

Scenes of undersea life will be projected on the nautilus-shaped structure, creating an entirely new experience for the park go-ers in downtown New York.

The seats will be translucent fiberglass molded into dolphins, turtles, clownfish, and other marine life.
