This Brooklyn facility that "greens" the city is itself a model of sustainable design, incorporating wetland plantings, graywater recycling and material-integrated photovoltaic panels incorporated with roof and clerestories.

For the client's facility in The Bronx, WXY is also working on a "green" barrier - made completely out of recycled content — that incorporates security and landscape elements working together. A key component of the Brooklyn facility is a public visitor center that brings school children out to the site and takes them through the recycling process.
